North West Quadrant

The North West Quadrant is a proposed new sustainable urban extension to create the potential for up to 3,500 new homes.

Location

The North West Quadrant is situated 1.5 km west of Grantham, conveniently near to the A1 and A52 interchange.

Planning Status

The site has been identified for housing and employment in the Core Strategy adopted in July 2010.

The site will be developed in two phases. Planning permission was granted in June 2011 for the first tranche of development at Poplar Farm comprising up to 1800 new homes, a school and community facilities.

The delivery of Phase 2 of the North West Quadrant is subject to a detailed allocation in the draft Grantham Area Action Plan with delivery of the development anticipated post 2016.

Ownership

Phase 1 is jointly owned by the Buckminster Estate and Norwich Hub who can be contacted via Andrew Russell-Wilks.
