Greyfriars occupies a prominent position close to the historic core of the town centre and forms part of the retail circuit. The site provides the opportunity for a mix of retail and leisure uses, supported by a range of further uses including residential and offices. The plans for the site are intended to expand consumer choice creating a more competitive retail/leisure offer for Grantham – including opportunities for larger format retail stores aimed at multiple operators and large leisure occupiers.

The site is to the north west of the town centre behind existing historic street frontage onto Westgate and the Market Place, marking the gateway to the town centre from the west.

Planning Status

A Development Brief adopted by South Kesteven District Council as Supplementary Planning Document which was formally adopted in January 2012.

Ownership

The site is principally with four private and public sector landowners with a number of different existing uses including a warehouse, storage, light industrial, retail, residential car park and public open space.

Availability

The site is subject to plans being brought forward with the landowners to redevelop the site.
