About

Grantham Growth is an ambitious programme of investment to deliver 7,500 new homes and up to 4,000 new jobs by 2026.

Grantham Growth is led by a partnership between South Kesteven District Council and Lincolnshire County Council with an agreed strategic programme and seeking to work closely with the private sector to deliver growth.

Grantham’s plans form part of the last Government’s Growth agenda and anticipates a population increase of over 30% to approximately 60,000 people by 2026. A budget of £6m was granted by the Department of Communities & Local Government to assist in delivering the growth ambitions.

The proposals for growth are set out in the Programme of Development:

Helping Grantham to Grow

The planned growth in residential development provides Grantham with an opportunity to realise its full potential as a sub-regional centre particularly with regards to delivering sustainable economic growth and creating new jobs in the knowledge economy. It is forecast that Grantham may generate up to 4,000 additional jobs by 2026.

The partnership is focussed on facilitating and delivering a series of development opportunities in and around Grantham to secure economic growth and the construction of new housing as well as providing the town with retail and leisure opportunities to provide a vibrant place to live.

The aim for Grantham Growth is to:

Create a supply of sustainable, deliverable sites which can support the increased rate of new development and, through its clear strengths as a sustainable location for economic grwoth, ensure that the creation of jobs and community infrastructure can be delivered in tandem with population growth.
