Get on board the Growing Grantham campaign
Grantham’s Charter Trustees have “backed the bid” and now the people of Grantham are being asked to play a key role in the future development of the town.
A draft bid for Growth Point Status to attract millions of pounds of investment money to the town has been submitted by partners South Kesteven District Council and Lincolnshire County Council but the campaign for public support starts now.
Duncan Kerr, SKDC chief executive, said he wanted the whole community to ‘sign up’ to support the bid.
He said: “This is a hugely exciting time for the town to grow and develop in a balanced way with new housing, new job opportunities and community development. We now have the opportunity to take Grantham where it can raise its game and reach its full potential. “We obviously want as many people as possible to back the bid by signing up on our website. We have already had excellent feedback on three draft logos, one of which will feature on documents and promotional material including items like t-shirts and banners to raise the profile of our ‘Back the Bid’ campaign.”
