The Growth Point Partnership

The purpose of the Grantham Growth Partnership is to ensure, through a process of consultation, dialogue, and partnership-working, the successful development and delivery of a plan for the sustainable growth of Grantham as outlined in the submission to the Department of Communities and Local Government of 1 October 2007.

To progress the delivery of projects within the bid for funding made jointly by South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) and Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) a Members Strategic Board (the Board) has been created.

The Board is made up of two elected Members of LCC and two elected Members of SKDC, with support being provided officers from both County and District Councils.

In addition, representatives from the following organisations attend board meetings:

Government Office for the East Midlands (GOEM)

East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA)

Homes and Communities Agency (HCA)

As well as the Strategic Board, there are robust and effective project governance arrangements in place to oversee the implementation of the initiatives. The table below illustrates the programme structure for the delivery of the Growth Point.

The overriding decision making body is the Members Strategic Board. Lincolnshire County Council will be the Lead Authority and Accountable Body for this initiative.
